काठमाडौं, ४ माघ । नक्साभन्दा अलिकति दायाबाया गरे सर्वसाधारणको घरको नक्सा पास हुँदैन । तर, पैसावालाहरुलाई भने कुनै नियम लागु हुँदैन । पैसा बुझाएपछि महानगरपालिकाका कर्मचारीले जे पनि गरिदिन्छन् । नक्सालमा हिल्टन होटल बनाउन मापदण्डविपरीत खाल्डो खन्दा आधा सडक नै भासिएको घटनाले महानगरभित्र कति धेरै आर्थिक चलखेल हुन्छ भन्ने कुरा प्रष्ट भएको छ । १० दिनदेखि भगवतीबहाल मन्दिरबाट प्रहरी मुख्यालयतर्फ जाने सडक नै बन्द छ । जसकारण नक्साल क्षेत्रको सडक दैनिक जाम हुने गरेको छ । एक व्यापारीको गल्ती र कर्मचारीको घुसमोहले हजारौं सर्वसाधारण मर्कामा परेका छन् । तर, होटल बनाउने व्यापारी शंकर ग्रुपका मालिक साहिल अग्रवाललाई भने कुनै कारबाही भएको छैन । अग्रवालले सडककै छेउमा होटलका लागि ५० मिटर गहिरो जग हाल्न खाल्डो खनेका थिए । जसकारण छेउछाउका घर समेत चर्किएका छन् । खाल्डोकै कारण क्राउन प्लाजा होटलसमेत चर्किएको छ । स्थानीयले जथाभावी खाल्डो खनेको भनेर उजुरी गर्दै आए पनि कसैले सुनुवाई गरेन । स्थानीयले महानगरपालिकाका प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकृत रुद्रसिंह तामाङलाई नै भेटेर उजुरी गरे पनि तामाङ कानमा तेल हालेर बसे । पछि एआईजी प्रतापसिंह थापालाई समेत गुनासो गरेका थिए । तर व्यापारीको पैसामा बिकेका कर्मचारी प्रहरीले जनताको गुनासो सुन्ने कुरा भएन । जसकारण सडकै भासियो । सडक भासिएपछि पनि सडक बनाउने सर्तमा उनीहरुलाई बिना कारबाही छाडिएको छ । बिश्वमा दोस्रो धेरै चेन होटल भएको हिल्टन होटल्र्स एण्ड रिसोर्टसँग मिलेर शंकर गु्रपले डबलट्री हिल्टन होटल बनाउन लागेको छ । ६ रोपनी जग्गामा ५ तारे होटल बनाउन ठाउँको अभाव हुँदा बेसमेन्टमा तीन तला पार्किङ बनाउन खोज्दा सडक नै भासिएको छ । मापदण्डविपरीत होटल बनाउन खोज्दा राजधानीको मूल सडक नै भासिदा पनि व्यापारी अग्रवाललाई कारबाही नभएपछि स्थानीयहरु आक्रोशित भएका छन् । सडक भासिएकै दिन निर्माणमा संलग्न केही व्यक्तिलाई सोधपुछका लागि प्रहरीले पक्राउ गरेपनि दबाबको भरमा उनीहरुलाई छाडिएको थियो । हिल्टन र शंकर ग्रुपले एक अर्ब ८० करोड रुपैयाँको लगानीमा पाँचतारे होटल बनाउन लागेको हो

Biography of Dr. Bhola Rijal

Dr Bhola Prasad Rijal is a preeminent Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician in Nepal. Born in Dharan, the eastern hub of the country, in July 1948, Dr Rijal has pioneered In-vitro fertilization in Nepal a major treatment for infertility, thereby providing joy and hope for many couples. He is also the initiator for legalizing abortion in Nepal. Alongside his medical profession, Dr Rijal’s patriotism is reflected in his literatures and outstanding song writing ability, which has made him a renowned lyricists and singer in Nepal.

Early Life and Background

Dr Rijal is the son of a successful and educated landlord Janani Prasad Rijal and grandfather Dhurblal Rijal, who were also both lucrative poets and writers. His mother Purnamaya Devi Rijal, was an orphan whose lineage has been traced back to the “Luintel” family. To honour the family tradition, Dr Bhola Prasad Rijal was sent to the most prominent, highly regarded schools namely the Public High School in Dharan, AdarshaVidyalaya in Biratnagar, and later to Aadarsha Sewa Vidhyalaya in Varanasi India. He was married at the tender age of 15, to his ever-devoting wife, Sarala Ghimire when she was only 12 years old, in an arranged childhood marriage in accordance to the custom of the region. He then went onto gain his MBBS degree from Dhaka Medical College in Bangladesh in the year 1972. He returned to Nepal, as an eager newly qualified doctor and duly worked under His Majesty’s Government (HMG) in various hospitals around the country for about 7 years.

He decided to further his career and was keen to specialize in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and returned to the University of Dhaka, Institute of Postgraduate Medicine and Research (IPGM &R) To complete his Postgraduate Diploma. He was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the International College of Surgeons (FICS) and FRCOG from the Royal College of Thailand. In 1982 following his specialist training, he duly returned to Nepal to become the first practicing male gynaecologist, with the unsurpassable support and inspiration from his wife.

He decided to further his career and was keen to specialise in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and returned to the University of Dhaka, Institute of Postgraduate Medicine and Research (IPGM & R) to complete his Postgraduate Diploma. He was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the International College of Surgeons (FICS) and FRCOG from the Royal College of Thailand. He lectured at the Institute of Medicine (IoM), Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) the only teaching hospital in Kathmandu then. In recognition of his work he was promoted to Assistant Professor at the institute. He went to become an Associate Professor in Gynaecology and Obstetrics.

During this time, he also worked as a trainer in Laparoscopic Sterilization for the Nepal Family Planning Association, the most successful NGO in the country in the field of family planning, for almost six years.

From April to November 1987, he was the Assistant Dean at the IoM. During his tenure, Dr Rijal’s international and nationally acquired experience enabled him to promote a high quality of academia at the institute. Subsequently, in 1988, he was made the Medical Director of TUTH and remained in the position for two years. During this time, the TUTH was subject to many positive reforms. As a man who had experienced first-hand, the health conditions of rural Nepal, Dr Rijal made sure that people visiting the hospital for care, especially the poor, were offered best possible

In 1990 private nursing homes and the private medical practice were slowly starting out in Kathmandu. (The country was also experiencing its first major peoples’ revolt.) There was also mounting protest against the monarchy reigned by King Birendra. The police were baton-charging protestors and bullets were being fired. Many injured people were seeking assistance from the TUTH. Despite being a government employee himself, Dr Rijal firmly believed that the Government should serve their people and not the other way around. Hence he supported the mass movement. Eventually, the citizens of the country were successful in bringing democracy to Nepal.
As a part of this democratic change in the country, TUTH started to see a serious debate over whether government doctors should be allowed to practice privately. People’s tendencies and trends of seeking services had changed and Dr Rijal felt that government hospitals alone could not serve the larger population. It was becoming evident that private facilities were more committed to quality health care. However, Dr Rijal was clear in his understanding. He believed that there should be no inequality between private and public health services, and in order to achieve this, doctors should be allowed to work consistently. He supported doctors to continue with Private services, as long as their private commitments did not impose upon the quality of care and services that they themselves provided in the government sector.
The Institution could not come to a mutual agreement, henceforth Dr Rijal and others of the same belief duly parted from TUTH. In retrospect, thirteen years later TUTH then recognized Dr Rijal’s healthcare vision and so resorted to allowing Doctors to practice privately alongside their government duties.
The brotherhood of man……..

People in Bangladesh respect and have the feeling of brotherhood for Nepalese people. Nepalese actively took part in their movement of freedom be it being a soldier or people who helped them giving them medical aid. I still remember me and my friends dragging bodies of injured to our hostel and taking out bullets from people who were injured. And in Bengal they used to call me dada and that’s great respect.

In 1969 director Gillani came to Kathmandu to open a radio station in Dhaka he had come to audition many. He came to auditioned Nepalese students residing in Dhaka for the radio, he selected me as a newsreader, commentary reader, and program organizer and in 1969 I started a Radio-Nepal in Dhaka, I taught many. My radio program also gave a platform to many big stars of today we were very close to them they used to sing my songs. When Narayan Gopal Dai and Nir Shah came here in 1971they meet me. I arranged there radio program and interviewed them. Narayan Gopal Dai’s song “Dherai Dherai bhul garechu zindagi payera mailai” was recorded here.
Starting work and then……………..
When I came back and in 1972 I worked in H.M.G’S health service, my first posting was and in Tauliahwa a remote area. When I was in Dhaka, I was already earning twelve thousand which was a great sum then. But I came here and worked for rupees four hundred fifty a month. I always felt that whatever I’ll do it I’ll do it in my country Nepal. I was posted in many remote places and helped people over there taking family planning camps as a team leader. In the year 1979 when the situation was not good and after working for 5 years I did not get the appreciation I seeked, I started growing tensed due to the political turmoil, I wrote a letter to my professor Noor Islam believe me six days after I wrote the letter I got the reply from him. I was surprised, when did the letter reach Dhaka and when did he send his reply. He had just written the line “Rijal come as soon as possible” not a word more or less in the letter. I had sent a letter where I had complained about my situation and had written that I had forgotten what I had studied and expressed deep concern of when was I to complete my graduation. I went back to Dhaka and in 1990 I did my post-graduation.
Ups and Down’s…………….
After the completion of my post-graduation the feeling to do something for my country had not died. I came back in Nepal but my service was fermented. But I did not give up at that time. Call it my sheer luck; there was a vacancy for a second class lecture in Teaching Hospital. I applied and got the job and began working there. During the time of the famous democratic movement in Nepal, I was the Director OF Teaching Hospital. We snatched 4 dead bodies of the communist killed in Kirtipur from the police I was one of the mass who came out and ordered the police to stop firing. Japanese described this incident in his book. He was the only one who had seen this as he was hiding. He took the bodies to Sundarijal and burned the four bodies. I also found out that in the world there was no incident that members of the hospital or any government service had ever taken and burned bodies of a communist. We did it for the first time, in the morning we did not know if we would live or die. The situation was that worse.
Dr. Rijal as freedom fighter in Bangladesh
Remembering Dhaka (Bangladesh) since 1966 as a student of Dhaka medical college. I can never forget 1969 tornado in Dhaka when almost 20,000 workers in jute factory wore injured. I as a student served those people continuously for 72 hours with tea and some biscuits. Our hostel (international) was almost 2km away from Dhaka medical college. Finally Principal Dr. Raheman offered me with lunch and dropped me in our hostel. I started radio programme Pakistan (Dhaka) in 1969 as a programme organizer and news reader where am I go to an opportunity to meet many celebrities Mahandi Hasan, Sahanaj Begam, firdosy Begam, Sabina Yasmin, Abdul Zabbar, Bashir Ahmad, Meena Ahmad , Khandarkar Farque, Rukshana Rehana, Flew Antish, Sabana, Nadim Beg, Sabnam, Azim kabori, and many more. I nearly conducted that programe for 6 yrs with Hem Nursing Mathke, Ananajali and Sarala Rijal and Anwari Qureshi. When I was working in radio program. I happen to meet many Pakistani official also to change my mind from simple Nepalese students to “MuktiBahini” worker. Bangladeshi were treated as second class citizen in the country. Life was miserable and politically this part was consider as “Upanibesh” a colony of Pakistan. Bangladeshi Dr. Hasi Moya Hajra a good friend of Nepalese student and best friend of Dr. H.N. Shakya was abducted in 1971 and still untraceable. From that day we all started working f0r Bangladesh Independent Movement (Muktibahini) contributed financially to needy person and treated wounded. Gunshot injury was our daily routine. It is not possible to express our feelings those days but when we achieved our goal we celebrated in Nepal and Dhaka equally. I am very much obliged by sincere guidance of Prof. Late N. Islam, Prof. T.A. Chaudhary, Prof. Sahla Khatun, Prof. Imam (Pharmacology) and Prof. Rehaman (Physiology) who are my God Father. My stay in Dhaka is remembered by my many friends of IGMR and DM college and also all the artist of Bangladesh. After the Independents my song “Yo Hamro Desh Kati Ramro Desh Yo Hamro desh Yo Ho Bangladesh” was one of the first song to be recorded in radio Dhaka Studio, sang by many Nepalese and Bangladesh Artist. I consider Bangladesh as my own country where I spend almost eleven yrs of my golden days. Where ever I meet my friend from Bangladesh. I feel happy to talk in Bangali. I have performed stage program with Bangali songs – solo or in groups. I always pray for the prosperity of Bangladesh and Bangladeshi people.
Social Responsibilities
Dr Rijal has always graciously upheld the Hippocratic Oath that doctors are supposed to serve and treat the people. He has never lost sight of this despite all his years in private and public practice. From the very beginning, Dr Rijal gave time to social service and volunteering. Keeping in mind that much of the rural population in Nepal does not have access to proper healthcare and medical facilities, he conducted many free health camps in the most remote and the most harsh regions of Nepal, including the arid landscape of Jomsom, the remote villages of Gorkha and the distant populations of Dhading. Thousands of people, who might never have received such world-class healthcare, benefited from Dr Rijal’s free health camps. In April 2013, Dr Rijal and his eldest son Dr Kapil Rijal led a strong team of 35 doctors and health personnel to Gumtha, Mugu in an isolated region of Nepal where they treated over 13,000 patients. This programme was arranged with the help of local organizations, Om Hospital and Research Centre, Nepal Medical College, Nepalgunj Medical College and the Om Health Foundation. In addition to medical treatment, he has also provided much support and been involved in helping victims of flooding.Alongside being a medical doctor and a man of science, Dr Rijal is very much a spiritual person. This is not surprising, given his propensity for helping others. He is involved in a hospital in Muktinath run by the Muktinath Pithdhiswor Swami Kamalnayarcharya. This charitable organization serves over 20,000 people annually, from the high Himalayas. He is the Chairman of the Mukitinath Aradhana Parishad Committee, a Trust of Swami Kamalnayarcharya, “Shree Ji Charitable Trust.” He is also the Vice-Chairman of another charitable organization called the “Lalita Devi-Dhruba Lal Rijal Memorial Trust
OM HOSPITAL AND RESEARCH CENTRE (P) LTD
When practicing and non-practicing doctors started to have dispute in teaching hospital I along with others always stressed on the point that no doctors can be called non-practicing. I resigned from the post of assistant dean and afterwards I left the hospital. When I left 31 doctors also resigned from the hospital. Many doctors went abroad but I still knew I could do something in my own motherland and I stayed. With few doctors we established Om hospital with only 8 beds, time was really hard for our hospital but we did not back away to give the best service to our patients. Now for the last 3 years our combined effort has proved it. We are established in our new complex here in chabhil. One by one we started to upgrade our services like we have a cancer treatment center and for the first time in Nepal IVF (test tube baby) service are also being provided Hospital. Its god blessing that we were named as the world’s most successful test tube centre and in the recent batch 50% of the mothers are pregnant.His song writing talents and creative writing have developed in strength from his tender young age. He is an amiable figure on Nepal television with his dearth of songs and lyrics, reflecting his passion for not only patriotism, but also in a variety of other genres. Dr Rijal also pursued a vibrant career in the creative arts. With his first musical, “Gauthali,” he raised awareness of women’s issues and attempted to dispel prevailing misconceptions in Nepali society. This critically acclaimed film is a milestone in terms of speaking out against early child marriage in the Nepalese society. He also composes music and writes lyrics for many of his films, winning numerous awards for both his writing and his music. Furthermore, he has released a numerous collections of songs, including Muktinath Bhajan Mala, Maina Chari, Sagarmatha Roirahecha, Ishwor Afai Bolcha, Jindagi Ko Yatra, Popcorn, Mero Desh, Meri Sannam, and Subha Kamana among others.
Dr Rijal as Producer and Writer
Dr Rijal’s film credits are numerous. He has produced and written many films, including Laxmi Puja, Chori Buhari, Jun Tara, Sathi, Ek Number Ko Pakhe, Apsara, Ukali Orali and Gauthali. Dr Rijal’s literary output is also quite inspiring. He is the author of poetry collections such as Mero Pauwa Pati and AnantaYatra, both critically acclaimed collections. The last publication of Dr Rijal “Amanta Yatra” a lyrical collection book, was released by Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, First President of Republic Nepal in 2012.
Personal life
The first name of Dr Rijal, Bhola, was chosen by his grandfather Dhurba Lal Rijal, due to his composed behavior and politeness. He was also the favorite grandson. It was Dr Rijal’s grandfather himself who led to his early marriage. Unable to refuse Dhurba Lal Rijal’s desire to see Bhola married off before leaving to spend his final days as a sage in Kashi, India, Bhola married at the age of 15. His wife, Sarala Ghimire, was only 12 years old.Going to Banaras I had many friends like Prakash Koirala and Sushma koirala they were about to do a program “international evening” we together did a Nepali program with many of my friends on the town hall of Banaras the program was successful. I went to Dhaka and performed many shows, which reflected my culture, which glorified the name of my country. Wherever I went the feeling of patriotism did not leave me. Future Vision
Dr Rijal calls to join hands to stop female foeticide (sex selective abortion). Knowing full well that it is a very difficult task, however he is very optimistic to achieve his goal. In his bid to discourage female foeticide, Dr Rijal has recently composed a song called “Chori Bhanera Nafala” (“Don’t abort just because she is a girl child”). Dr Rijal believes that this song once released will create a wave of awareness across the country. The Nepal Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (NESOG) is also all set to film a Docu-drama based on Dr Rijal’s theme of the song “Chori Bhanera Nafala”. Dr Rijal also plans to continue conducting health camps in the harshest geography of Nepal where people have fewer excess to quality health care.

काठमाडौं । प्रेम दिबस अर्थात भ्यालेन्टाइन डेको अवसरमा काठमाडौंमा फेसन शो हुने भएको छ । युवा पुस्तालाई फेसनप्रति जागरुक बनाउने उद्देश्यले आयोजना गरिने कार्यक्रममा ३६ मोडलको सहभागिता हुने आयोजक बंशी खड्काले बताए । नेपाली फेसन उद्योगलाई बृहत बनाउन फेसन शो सहयोगी हुने आयोजक संस्थाको भनाई छ । ३६ मध्ये ६ जना पुरुष छन् भने ३० जना महिला । कार्यक्रमका लागि मोडल छनौट भैसकेको जानकारी दिँदै खड्काले भने ‘कार्यक्रम सभ्य र भब्य बनाउने तयारी भइरहेको छ’ । फेसन सेक्रेट शीर्षकमा हुने कार्यक्रममा अन्य विभिन्न उपाधि पाएका मोडलको समेत सहभागीता हुने भएको छ । केही दिन अघि एक कार्यक्रममा अडिसन मार्फत कार्यक्रमका लागि मोडल छानिएको थियो । छानिएका मोडललाई थप प्रशिक्षण दिने आयोजक संस्थाको योजना रहेको छ ।

६ माघ, काठमाडौं । आम आदमी पार्टीका नेताविरुद्ध सीबीआईले छानविन सुरु गरे लगत्तै अरविन्द केजरीवालले प्रधानमन्त्री नरेन्द्र मोदीमाथि धावा बोलेका छन् दिल्लीका मुख्यमन्त्री केजरीवालले मोदीलाई घुस्याहाको आरोप त लगाएका छन् नै, उनी पागल भएको दाबी समेत गरेका छन् ।
सीबीआईले आपका नेता एवं दिल्लीका उपमुख्यमन्त्री मनिष सिसोदियामाथि प्रारम्भीक छानविन थालेको छ । उनीमाथि मुख्यमन्त्री केजरीवालको सोशल क्याम्पेनिङ ‘टक टु एके’मा नियम उल्लंघन र अनियमितताको आरोप छ ।

उनले गोवा र पञ्जाबमा हार्ने भएपछि सीबीआईको गेम सुरु गरेको आरोप पनि मोदीमाथि लगाएका छन् । उनले अर्को ट्वीटमा लेखेका छन्, ‘यस्तो लाग्छ कि मोदीजी बिल्कुल पागल छन् देशको प्रधानमन्त्री एक मात्र काम गरिरहेका छन् । हात धोएर पछि लागेका छन् ।’

स्कुलबस दुर्घटना

६ माघ, काठमाडौं । उत्तरप्रदेशको एटामा बिहीबार बिहान भएको सडक दुर्घटनामा १८ स्कुले बालबालिकाको मृत्यु भएको छ । ट्रक र स्कुलबस जुधेर भएको दुर्घटनामा ४० बालबालिका घाइते छन् । यो दुर्घटना एटाको अलीगञ्ज रोडमा भएको हो । एटास्थित जेएस बिद्या निकेतन स्कुलको बिद्यार्थी बोकेका बस ट्रकसँग ठोक्किएको हो । स्कुलबस यति भयानक थियो कि बसको छत नै उडेको थियो । बाक्लो हुस्सुका कारण दुर्घटना भएको बताइन्छ । सूचना पाउनेबित्तिकै घटनास्थलमा पुगेको प्रहरीले घाइतेलाई अस्पताल पुर्‍याएको थियो । बस बच्चालाई लिएर स्कुल जाँदै थियो । जाडो मौसममा अन्य सबै बिद्यालय बन्द भएपनि यस बिद्यालय भने खुलेको थियो ।

सजिलो छ माइग्रेनबाट छुटकारा पाउने तरिका :

आधुनिक भागदौड र तनावपूर्ण जीवनमा अनेक समस्याका कारण मानिसको टाउको दुख्ने गर्छ । टाउको दुखाइ एसिडिटी, रुघाखोकीदेखि लिएर टेन्सन, टाउकाको ट्युमर तथा विभिन्न किसिमका स्नायुरोगका कारणबाट हुने गर्छ ।
यस किसिमका टाउको दुखाइहरू कुनै हल्का किसिमका हुन्छन् भने कुनै निकै कडा किसिमका । मानिसको दैनिक जीवनलाई नै प्रभावित पार्ने यस्तै एक भयंकर टाउको दुखाइसम्बन्धी रोग हो, माइग्रेन (अर्धशिरोवेधना) ।
माइग्रेन एक प्रकारको स्नायु भास्कुलर रोग हो । पुरुषको तुलनामा तेब्बर महिलाहरू यसबाट पीडित हुने गर्छन् । हालैको एक अध्ययनअनुसार विश्वका करिब १८ प्रतिशत महिला तथा ६ प्रतिशत पुरुष माइग्रेनबाट पीडित रहेको तथ्य प्रकाशमा आएको छ ।
माइग्रेन रोग महिलाको रोग हो । किशोरकिशोरी, नवयुवा तथा युवाको रोग हो । किनभने यो रोग प्रायः किशोरावस्था तथा युवावस्थामा सुरु हुन्छ र बढी महिलालाई हुन्छ । किशोरावस्थामा सुरु भएको माइग्रेन प्रायः ४० वर्षतिर हराउ“छ । तर पछि सुरु भएको माइग्रेन ५०, ५५ वर्षसम्म पनि रहन्छ । तर यो रोग ४० वर्षपछि बिरल्लै देखा पर्छ ।

लक्षण

माइग्रेनको प्रमुख लक्षण असहनीय टाउको दुखाइ हो । यस्तो दुखाइ प्रायः टाउकाको आधा भागमा, खासगरी बाया“तर्फ, कन्चट र निधारमा हुन्छ । दुखाइस“गै वाकवाकी हुने, उल्टी होला जस्तो हुने, उल्टी हुने तथा चक्कर लाग्ने जस्ता लक्षण देखा पर्न सक्दछ ।
माइग्रेनको दुखाइ मध्यमदेखि लिएर निकै भयंकर खालको हुन्छ । कतिपयलाई माइग्रेनको दुखाइ यति पीडादायक हुन्छ कि रोगी दैनिक कार्य गर्न पूर्ण असमर्थ हुन्छ । बन्द कोठामा, एकान्तमा बस्न रुचाउ“छ । माइग्रेन भएको बेला रोगीले भोजन गर्न, टीभी हेर्न, म्युजिक सुन्न तथा होहल्ला मन पराउँदैन ।


माइग्रेनले दुई-तीन महिनामा, एक वा दुई हप्तामा या दुई–तीन दिनको अन्तरालमा रोगीलाई प्रभावित बनाउ“छ । साधारण तथा माइग्रेन तीन प्रकारका हुन्छन् ।

कारण

माइग्रेनका बेला गर्धन, खोपडी तथा मस्तिष्कका धमनीहरू खुम्चिने र सामान्यभन्दा बढी फैलिने गर्छन् । धमनी सुनिन्छन्, जसले गर्दा टाउकाको उक्त भागमा ठीक मात्रामा रक्तसञ्चार हुन पाउ“दैन र पीडा हुन्छ ।
हरेक मानिसमा गुणहरू पनि हुन्छन्, अवगुणहरू पनि हुन्छन् । भनाइ नै छ, अवगुण नभएका देउता हुँदैनन् । गुण नभएका राक्षस हुँदैनन् । तर अनुसन्धानकर्ताको दाबी छ कि यस्तो परिवर्तन माइग्रेनको कारण होइन कि माइग्रेनको परिणाम हो । अधिकांश अनुसन्धानकर्ताका अनुसार मस्तिष्क रसायनमा हुने असन्तुलन नै माइग्रेनको प्रमुख कारण हो । किनभने दुखाइको समयमा मस्तिष्क रसायन जस्तै सेरोटोनिन कम भएको हुन्छ ।
माइग्रेनको अर्को प्रमुख कारण अनुवांशिक हो । परिवारका कुनै सदस्यलाई माइग्रेन भएको छ भने ६० देखि ७० प्रतिशत माइग्रेन हुने सम्भावना रहन्छ । भावनात्मक कारणहरूले पनि माइग्रेन हुन सक्दछ ।
उपचार

माइग्रेन असाध्य (निको नहुने) वा कठिन साध्य रोग मानिन्छ । कुनै पनि चिकित्सा पद्धतिमा यस रोगको पूर्ण उपचार छैन । त्यसैले माइग्रेनको सर्वोत्तम उपचार भनेको नै एकीकृत चिकित्सा (इन्टिगे्रटेड मेडिसिन) हो । अतः माइग्रेनको चिकित्सा निम्न प्रकार गरिनुपर्छ ।

के हो त् बास्तबिक 4G इन्टरनेट :थाहा पाइरखौ

मोवाइल इन्टरनेटमा चौथो पुस्ताको सेवा फोर जी सेवा सुरु भएको छ । यो सेवा थ्री जी भन्दा पाँच गुणा बढी गतिको इन्टरनेट सेवा मानिन्छ । नेपाल टेलिकमले आफ्ना उपभोक्ताका लागि पहिलोपटक फोर जी मोबाइल इन्टरनेट सेवा दिन शुरु गरेको हो । तीन अर्ब ८० करोड रुपैयाँ खर्च गरेर ल्याइएको भनिएको यो सेवा अहिले तीन लाख ५० हजार ग्राहकले मात्र प्राप्त गर्ने टेलिकमले जनाएको छ ।
यो सेवाको इन्टरनेटमा उच्च गतिको अडियो एवं भिडियो फाइल सजिलै प्ले गर्न सकिन्छ । फोर जी खास गरि भिडियो कल, भिडियो स्ट्रिमिङ्ग, टेलिभिजन ब्रोडकास्ट, न्युज, टेलिमेडिसिन जस्ता उच्च गतिको इन्टरनेटमा आधारित सेवाको लागि उपयोगी हुन्छ ।
फोर जी सेवा हाल नेपाल टेलिकमको पोष्ट पेड सिममा मात्र चल्नेछ । आगामी माघ २२ गते टेलिकमको वार्षिकोत्सवमा प्रिपेड मोबाइलमा पनि यो सेवा 'व्यवसायिक लञ्च' गरिने जानकारी एनटिसीले दिएको छ ।
हाल काठमाडौं उपत्यका एवं पोखराका केही स्थानमा मात्र यो सेवा उपलब्ध हुने टेलिकमले जनाएको छ । नेपाल टेलिकमको फोर जी सेवा हाल व्याण्ड थ्री अन्तर्गत १८०० मेगाहर्जमा सञ्चालन गरेको छ ।
यो सेवा एक्टिभेट गर्न 'स्टार फोर फोर फोर ह्यास' डायल गर्नुपर्छ । यसपछि प्राप्त निर्देशन अनुरुप सिम परिक्षण गर्न तथा फोर जी सेवा एक्टिभेट गर्न सकिनेछ । फोर जी चलेपछि नोटिफिकेसन बारमा फोर जी अथवा एलटीइ लेखिएको देखिनेछ । उपयुक्त सिम नभएमा सिम परिवर्तन गर्नुपर्ने सूचना प्राप्त हुनेछ ।

समाजिक सञ्जालमा को र के विषय भाइरल भयो?

सन् २०१६ मा सामाजिक सञ्जालमा गोरखाकी तरकालीवाली (कुसुम श्रेष्ठ), अख्तियार दुरुपयोग अनुसन्धान आयोगका निलम्बित प्रमुख आयुक्त लोकमान सिंह कार्की लगायत व्यक्ति चर्चित बने ।

फ्रिडम फोरमले आज सार्वजनिक गरेको वार्षिक मिडिया प्रतिवेदनका अनुसार गोरखाकी तरकालीवाली (कुसुम श्रेष्ठ), अख्तियार दुरुपयोग अनुसन्धान आयोगका निलम्बित प्रमुख आयुक्त लोकमान सिंह कार्की, नेपाल विद्युत प्राधिकरणका कार्यकारी निर्देशक कुलमान घिसिङ, पत्रकार सुमन खरेलद्वारा कान्तिपुर टेलिभिजनमा कञ्चन शर्माको अन्तवार्ता (सुमन भाई) र प्रधानमन्त्री पुष्ककमल दाहालद्वारा सार्वजनिक गरिएको सम्पत्ति विवरण, पूर्वप्रधानमन्त्री केपी शर्माओलीले आफू प्रधानमन्त्री हुँदा घोषणा गरेका हावाबाट बिजुली निकाल्ने र घरघरमा ग्यास पाइपलाइन पुर्‍याउने विषय भाइरल बने ।

यस्तै २०१६ को सुरुमा भारतले लगाएको अघोषित नाकाबन्दी यथावत रहेकोले नाकाबन्दीले पनि सामाजिक सञ्जालमा राम्रै स्थान पायो ।

मिडियासम्बन्धी नीतिगत विश्लेषण गर्दै फ्रिडम फोरमका कार्यकारी प्रमुख तारानाथ दाहाल भन्छन्, 'राष्ट्रिय आमसञ्चार नीति मन्त्रिपरिषद्बाट पारित हुनु सकारात्मक भए पनि त्यसभित्र रहेका अनेकौँ त्रुटिहरू नसच्याए नीति अपुरो हुनेछ ।'

इन्टरनेटमा आधारित मिडियाको ‘रजिस्ट्रेससन’, प्रेस काउन्सिल नेपालद्वारा पत्रकार बन्न परीक्षा दिनुपर्ने तयारी, रेडियो नेपाल र नेपाल टेलिभिजनलाई सार्वजनिक प्रशारण सेवा –(पिएसबी) मा लैजाने तयारी नहुनु आमसञ्चार नीतिका कमजोरी रहेको उनले औँल्याए ।

समाचार लेखेकै कारण धनुषामा राजनीतिक दलका स्थानीय नेता तथा जिविसका कर्मचारीद्वारा पत्रकारमाथि आक्रमण हुनु, सिंहदरबारभित्रै फोटो पत्रकारमाथि प्रहरीबाट दुर्व्यवहार हुनु र धादिङमा रातारात एफएम रेडियो कार्यालयमा आक्रमण हुनु दुःखद् प्रतिनिधि घटनाका रुपमा प्रतिवेदनले उल्लेख गरेको छ ।

यद्यपी सरकारद्वारा श्रमजीवी पत्रकारको न्युनतम पारिश्रमिक वृद्धि हुनुलाई भने सकारात्मक रुपमा लिइएको छ ।

इन्टरनेट प्रयोग कर्ता बढे

नेपालमा प्रत्येक वर्ष इन्टरनेट प्रयोगकर्ता बढ्दै गएका छन् । गत वर्षको अध्ययनमा ४४.१ प्रतिशत थिए भने २०१६ मा ५२.७ प्रतिशतले नेपाली इन्टरनेटको पहुँचमा पुग्न सफल भएका छन् । यसमध्ये ८० लाख नेपाली सामाजिक सञ्जाल प्रयोग गर्छन् ।

सन् २०१६ मा नेपाली मिडियाः शान्तिपूर्ण तर दण्डहीनता कायमै

गएको एक वर्ष ( सन् २०१६) मा नेपाली मिडियाले शान्तिपूर्ण वातावरण पाए पनि प्रेस स्वतन्त्रताविरुद्धका अपराधमा दण्डहीनता कायमै रहेको उक्त अध्ययनले देखाएको छ । प्रतिवेदनका अनुसार गत वर्षको तुलनामा यो वर्ष प्रेस स्वतन्त्रता उल्लङ्घनका घटनामा भने कमी आएको छ । सन् २०१५ मा ८३ वटा प्रेस स्वतन्त्रता उल्लङ्घनका घटना भएका थिए । त्यसमध्ये एकजना पत्रकार मारिएका थिए । प्रतिवेदनका अनुसार गत एक वर्षको अवधिमा गरिएको मिडिया अनुगमनका क्रममा २५ वटा प्रेस स्वतन्त्रता उल्लङ्घनका घटना भएका छन् । सन् २०१६ जनवरीदेखि डिसेम्बरसम्मको एक वर्षको अवधिमा पत्रकारमाथि आक्रमण ११, धम्की पाँच, पक्राउ पाँच र सामान्य हातपात चारवटा घटना भएका छन् । उक्त अवधिमा ७५ जना सञ्चारकर्मी प्रभावित बनेको प्रतिवेदनमा औंल्याइएको छ । यस अवधिमा सबैभन्दा धेरै प्रेस स्वतन्त्रता उल्लङ्घनका घटना प्रदेश नं ३ मा भएका छन् । उक्त प्रदेशमा १२ वटा घटना भएका छन् । घटनामध्ये अधिकांश सुरक्षा निकाय तथा राजनीतिक दलका स्थानीय नेता र उनीहरूका भ्रातृसंस्थाबाट भएका छन् । यति धेरै घटना राजधानी नै रहेको प्रदेशमा हुनु दुःखदायी भएको प्रतिवेदनमा जनाइएको छ ।

त्यसैगरी, प्रदेश नं. १ मा एक, नं २ मा ६, नं ५ मा चारवटा र नं ७ मा २ वटा प्रेस स्वतन्त्रता उल्लङ्घनका घटना भएका छन् भने प्रदेश नं. ४ र नं ६ मा कुनै घटना भएका छैनन् । धेरैजसो प्रेस स्वतन्त्रता उल्लङ्घनका घटना आन्दोलनका समाचार सम्पे्रषण गर्ने क्रममा भएका छन् । प्रतिवेदनका अनुसार आर्थिक अनियमितता, भ्रष्टाचार, व्यापारिक चलखेल, आन्दोलनको रिपोर्टिङ गर्ने पत्रकार विशेषतः आक्रमणमा परेका छन् ।

म छुकीसँग पुरै जीवन बिताउन चाहन्थेँ । एउटा भिन्नै संसार सजाउन चाहन्थेँ । तर त्यसका लागि छुकी तयार हुनुपथ्र्यो । उनले मलाई कसरी हेरेकी छिन् म यस कुराबाट अनभिज्ञ थिएँ । एक मनले भन्थ्यो– ‘छुकीलाई पक्कै थाहा छ म उनलाई मन पराउँछु ।’ अर्को मन भन्थ्यो– ‘विचरा मैले कहिले भने पो थाहा पाउनु ।’ यस्तै दुविधामा रुम्मलिएँ निकै दिन । अनि मुटु दरो पारेर निकै भावुक भएर एकदिन भनिछाडेँ– ‘छुकी म हजुरलाई मन पराउँछु र बाँकी जीवन हजुरसँग बिताउन चाहन्छु । के हजुर मलाई साथ दिनु हुन्छ ? कृपया मलाई गलत ढङ्गले नबुझिदिनु होला ।’

यति भनिसक्दा मेरो शरीर पुरै काँपिरहेको थियो । गला अबरूद्ध भएको थियो । होस्हवास उडिसकेको थियो । मैले उनको जवाफ चाहेको थिएँ । सकारात्मक या नकारात्मक, तत्कालै जवाफको प्रतीक्षामा थिएँ । तर उनी मौन रहिन् । सोचेको थिएँ– कि त म उनको प्रतिक्रियाबाट अत्यन्तै खुशी हुन्छ कि त दुःखी । तर छुकी शान्त नै थिइन्, मानौँ उनमा कुनै संवेग नै थिएन ।

प्रतिक्रियाहीन उनको अनुहारमा म भुटभुटिएँ । न हाँसो न विस्मात । न आक्रोश न माया । न खुशी न दुःखी । उनको मुखाकृति एकदमै शून्य थियो । निकैबेर उनी जडवत् शरीर र संवेगहीन अनुहार बोकेर उभि रहिन् । म युद्धभूमिमा हार खाएको योद्धा झैं चुपचाप बसिरहेँ। भित्री मनमा भने ज्वारभाटा उठिरहेको थियो– कतै मैले

छुकीको मन त दुखाइनँ ? भावनामा ठेस त पुर्‍याइनँ ?

म निरुत्तर कोठामा फर्कें । रातभर औडाह र छटपछीले सताइ रह्यो । आँखाभरि छुकीको निरुत्तर अनुहार खेलाउँदै कोल्टे फेरिरहें । छुकीको त्यो रात कस्तो भयो होला ? भोलिपल्ट छुकी चाँडै अफिस गइछिन् र राति अबेर मात्रै फर्किइन् । पर्सिपल्ट बिहानै घन्द्रयाङ घुन्द्रुङ् आवाजले मलाई ब्युझायो । झ्यालको पर्दा बिस्तारै तानेर तल आँगनमा हेरेँ । उफ् ! छुकी त भटाभट कोठाको सामान पो ओसार्दै थिइन् । म छानाबाट खसेझैँ भएँ । छुकी यस घरबाट जाँदै थिइन् । मैले यति बुझेँ । लाग्यो– मेरो धृष्टताको सजाय छुकीले म र यो घरबाट अलग्गिएर दिंदैछिन् । म अपराधबोधले निचोरिएँ ।

एकाएक रिङ्गटा छुट्यो । शरीर थरथरी काँप्यो । आँखाहरू त्यसै त्यसै रसाएर आए, मानौं अविरल नदी बग्न खोज्दैछ । मनभरि प्रश्नहरू दौडाइरहें– ‘किन ? किन ? छुकी किन ? मलाई यति ठूलो सजाय दिँदै छ्यौ ? मैले गल्ती गरेको भए गालामा थपड हाने नि हुन्थ्यो ।

अथवा मुखमा थुके पनि म सहन सक्थेँ । तर त्योभन्दा पनि बढ्ता चोट दिएर यहाँबाट किन जाँदैछ्यौ ? किन ?’ म उनको अगाडि यस्तै प्रश्नहरू तेस्र्याउन चाहन्थेँ । तर खुट्टाहरू जमे, भूँइमै टाँसिए जस्तो । पाइला जति प्रयास गर्दा पनि सर्दै सरेन । अस्ति छुकी जड्वत बनेकी थिइन्, आज म भएको छु । मेरो अनुहार प्रतिक्रियाहीन बनिरह्यो– फुङ्ग उडेको । एकोहोरो एकोहोरो ।

मनभित्र भुलुक्क केही भएको झैं भयो मलाई । संसारै बिरानो लाग्न थाल्यो मानै अब बाँच्नुको कुनै सार्थकता छैन । कसैलाई अनाहकमा पुर्‍याएको चोटको अपराधबोधी मनोविज्ञानमा म पिल्सिरहें पिल्सिरहें । सजायको भागिदार म नै हुँ । यस्तै सोचें । र आत्मग्लानीको दबदबे हिलोमा म डुबें । मनमा विचार आयो– अब यो सजायको भागिदार म आफैं हुनुपर्छ । यसपछि मैले कोठाको सिलिङतिर हेरें र, फटाफट डोरी बाँध्न थालेँ ।

‘ढक ढक ढक ढक....’ ढोकामा त्यति नै बेला कसैले आवाज दियो । हतास मनस्थितिका साथ ढोका खोलेँ । बाहिर छुकी उही अनुहार उभिरहेको थियो– हातमा कागजको टुक्रासहित ।

Green tea is more than just green liquid. Many of the bioactive compounds in the tea leaves do make it into the final drink, which contains large amounts of important nutrients. It is loaded with polyphenols like flavonoids and catechins, which function as powerful antioxidants (1). These substances can reduce the formation of free radicals in the body, protecting cells and molecules from damage. These free radicals are known to play a role in aging and all sorts of diseases. One of the more powerful compounds in green tea is the antioxidant Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), which has been studied to treat various diseases and may be one of the main reasons green tea has such powerful medicinal properties. Green tea also has small amounts of minerals that are important for health. Bottom Line: Green tea is loaded with bioactive compounds that can have various beneficial effects on health.

2. Compounds in Green Tea Can Improve Brain Function and Make You Smarter

A Cup of Green Tea Green tea does more than just keep you awake, it can also make you smarter. The key active ingredient is caffeine, which is a known stimulant. It doesn’t contain as much as coffee, but enough to produce a response without causing the “jittery” effects associated with too much caffeine. What caffeine does in the brain is to block an inhibitory neurotransmitter called Adenosine. This way, it actually increases the firing of neurons and the concentration of neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine (3, 4). Caffeine has been intensively studied before and consistently leads to improvements in various aspects of brain function, including improved mood, vigilance, reaction time and memory (5). However… green tea contains more than just caffeine. It also has the amino acid L-theanine, which is able to cross the blood-brain barrier (6). L-theanine increases the activity of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA, which has anti-anxiety effects. It also increases dopamine and the production of alpha waves in the brain (7, 8, 9). Studies show that caffeine and L-theanine can have synergistic effects. The combination of the two is particularly potent at improving brain function (10). Because of the L-theanine and the smaller dose of caffeine, green tea can give you a much milder and different kind of “buzz” than coffee. Many people report having more stable energy and being much more productive when they drink green tea, compared to coffee. Bottom Line: Green tea contains less caffeine than coffee, but enough to produce an effect. It also contains the amino acid L-theanine, which can work synergistically with caffeine to improve brain function.

3. Green Tea Increases Fat Burning and Improves Physical Performance

Tea Plant If you look at the ingredients list for any fat burning supplement, chances are that green tea will be on there. This is because green tea has been shown to increase fat burning and boost the metabolic rate, in human controlled trials (11, 12). Caffeine itself has also been shown to improve physical performance by mobilizing fatty acids from the fat tissues and making them available for use as energy (16, 17). In two separate review studies, caffeine has been shown to increase physical performance by 11-12%, on average (18, 19). Bottom Line: Green tea has been shown to boost the metabolic rate and increase fat burning in the short term, although not all studies agree.

4. Antioxidants in Green Tea May Lower Your Risk of Various Types of Cancer

It is well known that oxidative damage contributes to the development of cancer and that antioxidants can have a protective effect (20). Green tea is an excellent source of powerful antioxidants, so it makes perfect sense that it could reduce your risk of cancer, which it appears to do: Breast cancer: A meta-analysis of observational studies found that whomen who drank the most green tea had a 22% lower risk of developing breast cancer, the most common cancer in women (21). Prostate cancer: One study found that men drinking green tea had a 48% lower risk of developing prostate cancer, which is the most common cancer in men (22). Colorectal cancer: A study of 69,710 Chinese women found that green tea drinkers had a 57% lower risk of colorectal cancer (23). Multiple other observational studies show that green tea drinkers are significantly less likely to get various types of cancer (24, 25, 26). It is important to keep in mind that it may be a bad idea to put milk in your tea, because it can reduce the antioxidant value (27). Multiple studies show that the catechin compounds in green tea can have various protective effects on neurons in test tubes and animal models, potentally lowering the risk of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s (28, 29, 30). Bottom Line: The bioactive compounds in green tea can have various protective effects on neurons and may reduce the risk of both Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, the two most common neurodegenerative disorders.

6. Green Tea Can Kill Bacteria, Which Improves Dental Health and Lowers Your Risk of Infection

This can lower the risk of infections and lead to improvements in dental health, a lower risk of caries and reduced bad breath.

One study in Japanese individuals found that those who drank the most green tea had a 42% lower risk of developing type II diabetes (43). According to a review of 7 studies with a total of 286,701 individuals, green tea drinkers had an 18% lower risk of becoming diabetic (44). Bottom Line: Some controlled trials show that green tea can cause mild reductions in blood sugar levels. It may also lower the risk of developing type II diabetes in the long term.

8. Green Tea May Reduce Your Risk of Cardiovascular Disease

Powdered Green Tea Cardiovascular diseases, including heart disease and stroke, are the biggest causes of death in the world (45). Studies show that green tea can improve some of the main risk factors for these diseases. This includes total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides (46). Green tea also dramatically increases the antioxidant capability of the blood, which protects the LDL cholesterol particles from oxidation, which is one part of the pathway towards heart disease (47, 48, 49). Given the beneficial effects on risk factors, it is not surprising to see that green tea drinkers have up to a 31% lower risk of cardiovascular disease (50, 51, 52). Bottom Line: Green tea has been shown to lower total and LDL cholesterol, as well as protect the LDL particles from oxidation. Observational studies show that green tea drinkers have a lower risk of cardiovascular disease.

9. Green Tea Can Help You Lose Weight and Lower Your Risk of Becoming Obese

Several studies show that green tea leads to decreases in body fat, especially in the abdominal area (53, 54). One of these studies was a randomized controlled trial in 240 men and women that went on for 12 weeks. In this study, the green tea group had significant decreases in body fat percentage, body weight, waist circumference and abdominal fat (55). However, some studies don’t show a statistically significant increases in weight loss with green tea, so this needs to be taken with a grain of salt (56). Bottom Line: Some studies show that green tea leads to increased weight loss. It is particularly effective at reducing the dangerous abdominal fat.

10. Green Tea May Decrease Your Risk of Dying and Help You Live Longer

Death from heart disease: 31% lower in women, 22% lower in men. Death from stroke: 42% lower in women, 35% lower in men. Another study in 14,001 elderly Japanese individuals aged 65-84 years found that those who drank the most green tea were 76% less likely to die during the 6 year study period
